This all started in 2000 to write and record songs for an upcoming album on MCA records. My songwriting partner and I had just signed a deal with a rock band called "Push" which later became "Crushdown". We needed a place to record our ideas to pitch to the label. That was a very short lived affair, but our passion for recording grew. What started as a 4 track machine with an spx 90 and a couple of sm 57's has become a very cool place to write and record. A little about me: As a young drummer I would listen to records to learn the parts, but what interested me as much or more were the sounds. The Beatles, The Monkeys and later bands like Aerosmith, AC/DC, The Pat Travers band and Deep Purple would help to define the player I would become. I eventually started listening to and was enlightened by funk music, Ohio Players, Pfunk, Tower of Power, The Isley brothers to name a few. The motown sound, the soul music from Memphis would take over my whole being. Otis Redding is perhaps the greatest singer of all time. (in my humble opinion) Moving to Nashville Tn in 1992, I played sessions for songwriter Ed Bruce, while Ed managed the country act I was in and did his best to get us a "deal" . I worked for George Richey and Tammy Wynette for 5 or 6 years as an assistant. I had the great honor of being invited to a session for George Jones and Tammy while they cut vocals tracks to what would become they're last album together. The studio now has recorded several jingles for tv/radio and many songwriter demos. A few albums are under our belt as well. We look forward to growing with the Nashville music scene and to working with you on your next project. Ruben Garces
